INSTRUCTOR: Caroline Simpson

ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP:

According to Robert Graves, “There’s no such thing as great writing, only great rewriting.” We will read and discuss example drafts of published poems, examining how each subsequent draft brings the poem closer to a place where it pleases linguistically, intrigues intellectually, and moves emotively. You’ll learn a number of revision techniques developed by published poets, and you’ll have a chance to try some of these techniques on poem drafts you bring to class.

Open to adults of all levels.

June 5, 7:30-8:30, Zoom. Tune in on your own or join us at the Writers House for a watch party.

Free for Camden residents and Rutgers-Camden students; $20 for general.
