On April 18, novelist Aaron Hamburger will join us for a brown bag lunch to talk about his publishing experiences with both small and large presses, and the various ways he’s made freelancing, teaching, and baking into a livelihood. Aaron is the author of the short story collection The View from Stalin’s Head (Random House), Faith for Beginners (Random House), and the forthcoming Nirvana Is Here (Three Rooms Press). His writing has appeared in The New York TimesThe Washington PostThe Chicago TribuneThe Village VoiceTin HouseMichigan Quarterly ReviewSubtropicsCrazyhorseBoulevardPoets & WritersTabletO, the Oprah Magazine, OutNerveTime OutDetails, and The Forward. In addition, he has also won fellowships from Yaddo, Djerassi, the Civitella Ranieri Foundation, and the Edward F. Albee Foundation as well as first prize in the Dornstein Contest for Young Jewish Writers.
