Writers House from across Cooper Street

Admit it: you have the plot for a fantasy series to rival Fablehaven all laid out in your head. Or you know your story idea would keep your friends up all night reading. If this sounds like you, and you’re in grades 9-12, join us for our first-ever Exploring Fiction Writing day for teens. Novelist Lauren Grodstein will introduce you to the building blocks of good storytelling, whether for a novel, short story, screenplay, or graphic novel. Then you’ll have time on your own to create the foundation of a story that could only have come from you.

Get inspired by the Writers House, a historic building from the 19th century, beautifully restored to get your creative juices flowing (and full of ghosts, they tell us).

Lunch provided.
