ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
The most meaningful poems tackle important topics such as truth, beauty, love, loss death, etc. However, many poems fail to connect with readers because they rely too heavily on abstract language. After examining drafts and published poems, we’ll practice crafting our feelings and thoughts into concrete language so our readers will feel and think something akin to what we intend. Bring two or three poems with you, and let’s advance them to the next level.
